Why a bike trailer instead of bags?

When you decide to go on a bike trip, you will probably ask yourself this question: better to use a bike trailer or bags?
Aevon users have travelled around the world with their bike trailers and have many positive things to say about the trailer.
The handling ability
The Aevon single wheel bike trailer is attached on the seat post and set up with a single wheel. So, in turns and downhill, it follows you smoothly everywere, without you feeling any discomfort.. The bike remains easy to handle and light. Elroy, from Canada, confirms that his trailer can almost be forgotten (read his story here).
When you place bags on your bike, it gets heavier and less easy to handle. On a narrow track, you may have to pass through trees and the width of your bike has increased which can make it difficult in some passages. Some Aevon bike trailers are set up with shock absorbers so they can follow you on cross-country roads.
Practical
The bike trailer can easily carry all your stuff, your tent and your sleeping bag. And for your immediate needs such as your camera or your sandwich, you just need to put a separate backpack on top of your luggage or even outside the bag of the trailer. You’ll just need to add a waterproof cover to protect it from the rain and have easy access to it.
The load capacity
An STD 100 bike trailer can carry up to 145L or 45kg of luggage. In which bags could you carry so much weight? Imagine the weight you would feel if your bike weighed 45kg more!
The Aevon trailers’ frames are spacious and can carry everything you need for a trip in full autonomy.
Here is what Katrin, from Germany, was able to carry in her single wheel bike trailer UNO 100: a tent, a sleeping bag, a camping stove, hiking shoes and a few clothes, and she still had some space left (read her story here).
Some people even adapt their bike trailer to carry their surfboard, their paddle, (read more about it online) or even a snowboard (read more about it here).
Split the load
You’re cycling uphill and your bike trip is slowly becoming more and more difficult? Lend your trailer to one of your fellow travellers to share the difficulties. You just need the right hitch on the second bike and maybe a quick realease to place the trailer from one bike to the other in only a few minutes and without tools.
Even better: get 2 Aevon bike trailers to split the load and make the trip more enjoyable for everyone.
For daily trips, planned on large roads and tracks, bags can be really useful. But if you need to carry some load, intend to go on a long trip or plan to ride on narrow tracks, the Aevon single wheel bike trailer is the best idea.
